This is my place to write so I can understand my own learning. You are welcome as an eavesdropper ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ .
I'm a fledging full-stack generalist: educator, coder, ops, comms, support. I'm happiest at the intersections because to build something well, I believe in seeing it in multiple ways. So I don't know that I'll ever be an expert in any one thing.
So I'm onto my last magic show--becoming a code/software something. Something because I want to see opportunities and challenges--not necessarily a title.
I've had a wonderful series of adventures. I taught in special education for 5 years. I worked in community, political, and labor organizing before that.
If therapy counts, then 15 years of that.
My favorite jobs are still Starbucks and Bruegger's Bagels from back back back then because I didn't work for anything other than to be happy. Not because I wanted a house or a car or a vacation. It was ambitiously simple.
Through it all, I've realized the team makes it. You know when you're on a great team (manager included OF COURSE)--and when it goes to hell. Trust yourself. You know.
